Bikes Lose as China Car Sales Outpace USA



In case you missed it. sales of cars in China, overtook those of the USA in 2009 per this report.


- Bicycles are to China now what gondolas are to Venice where ridership has gone from 80% to 18% in last 10 years.  

- China's vast infrastructure of bike lanes is now clogged with cars 

- BMW sells more cars in China than in USA

- Average speed on a bike in China is 18 km/hr 
- Average speed in a car in China is 12 km/hr

59 y.o. McNatt Completes Hi Wheel ride Across USA

59 yr old Kevin McNatt rode the  54 inch Victory HiWheel you see pictured here, from Lewes, DE to Florence, OR. Finished 8/7/12, his trip was 3,389.48 miles - 66 days!
